What we offer

OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on the body's musculoskeletal system. It emphasizes the interrelationship between the body's structure and function aiming to promote overall health and wellbeing.

Benefits of osteopathy include pain relief, improved mobility, and enhanced body function. It can be particularly effective for conditions such as back pain, joint issues, and sports injuries.

Osteopaths are trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches that are suitable for a broad range of individuals, including pregnant women, children and babies.

Osteopathic care is delivered through a range of interventions which may include, health management advice, manual therapy (manual therapy techniques may include articulation and manipulation of joints and soft tissues) or cranial techniques (very subtle/gentle technique), exercise therapy, referral to other disciplines or medics.

Osteopaths adapt their therapeutic approach depending on the unique needs of each patient and their presenting complaint. Every treatment is tailored to the individual person.

Osteopaths undergo a 4 or 5 year degree, qualifying with a Bachelor or Masters degree. They have been regulated by statute since 1993 by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and are Allied Health Professionals.

Some issues osteopaths can help with Arthritic pain, Circulatory problems, Cramp, Digestion problems, Fibromyalgia, Frozen shoulder/ shoulder and elbow pain/ tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis arising from associated musculoskeletal conditions of the back and neck, but not isolated occurrences), Headache arising from the neck (cervicogenic), Joint pains, Joint pains including hip and knee pain from osteoarthritis as an adjunct to core OA treatments and exercise, General, acute & chronic backache, back pain (not arising from injury or accident), Generalised aches and pains (from sports, work, parenting, gardening etc), Migraine prevention, Sports injuries, Muscle spasms, Neuralgia, Tension and inability to relax, Rheumatic pain and Sciatica to name a few!

MASSAGE

Massage is a therapeutic practice that involves the manipulation of muscles and soft tissues to promote relaxation and wellbeing.

Its benefits include reducing stress, alleviating pain, improving circulation, and enhancing overall physical and mental health.

Regular massage can also aid in recovery from injuries, changes in pregnancy, support the journey through cancer and improve flexibility. Whether for relaxation or therapeutic purposes, massage can be a valuable addition to a healthy lifestyle.

PEDIATRIC OSTEOPATHY

Pediatric osteopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on the physical well-being of infants, children, and adolescents. It involves gentle manual techniques to assess and treat various conditions, promoting overall health and development.

The benefits of pediatric osteopathy include improved mobility, relief from discomfort, enhanced sleep quality, and support for the body's natural healing processes. This safe effective treatment can help children thrive during their crucial growth stages.

Osteopaths work under the principle that there may be a number of contributing factors to the symptoms and will therefore evaluate not only the area which is producing the symptoms, but also associated areas that may be contributing to the issue, including past trauma, environmental factors and the family’s health history.

Osteopaths utilise a range of techniques including gentle movements, stretching and massage, and other gentle techniques such as cranial.
