About
Rachel graduated in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Wales College of Medicine.
She began her career at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford as a Junior Physiotherapist where she completed ‘rotations’ in a variety of different areas within the hospital.
In 2002, Rachel moved to Singapore, and began to specialise in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy working in the Outpatient department in Singapore General Hospital, a small private hospital plus a private practise specialising in core stability training.
On returning to the UK in 2005, Rachel continued to work in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy working at a number of different private practises and enhanced her core stability expertise by training to teach Physio led Pilates through the APPI.
Rachel later moved to work for Nuffield Health where she continued to develop professionally by working in Musculoskeletal outpatients and Orthopaedic inpatients and very much enjoyed being part of a dynamic team, including Orthopaedic Consultants.
It was during her time at Nuffield Health that Rachel became a Women’s Health Specialist Physio and also progressed to become an ‘Integrated Clinical Services Manager’; responsible for managing the Physiotherapy Department and Health Assessments plus continuing with clinical work too.
With nearly 25 years of experience in a variety of different settings Rachel brings with her a vast array of knowledge and experience. Rachel is able to assess patients through self referral and has excellent clinical assessment skills meaning that she can provide, in most cases, a diagnosis and effective treatment plan.
During her treatments Rachel uses both manual and soft tissue treatment techniques, effective tailored rehabilitation programmes, advice and education. Rachel has a very ‘hands-on’ approach to each individual patient and really takes the time to get know each patient so that she can help them achieve their goals.
Rachel can treat patients over 12 years of age with any Musculoskeletal injury including, back pain, neck pain, prolapsed disc, ligament sprains, muscle sprains and post surgery rehabilitation.
